OUTLOOK

Following a strong 19-9 campaign, the Elk City Elkettes enter the 2025-26 season ready to raise the bar under first-year head coach Mason Jones, who inherits a roster rich with experience, leadership, and athletic talent. With seven returning players and a group of promising underclassmen, the Elkettes have the pieces to build on last year’s success and continue their winning tradition.

“With a strong mix of returners and fresh faces, this team is looking to build chemistry and solidify a defensive identity,” said Jones. “We have a very athletic group of girls that work hard every day. As the season kicks off, our main focus is effort and energy.”

Leading the way for Elk City is senior Kazlyn Ulrich (Sr., F), a key veteran presence who brings toughness and leadership to the lineup. Joining her in the senior class is Lou Wyatt (Sr., F), another dependable player whose work ethic sets the tone for the team. Jones said both have been instrumental in shaping the culture that defines the Elkettes program.

“Our juniors and seniors have done an incredible job pulling the underclassmen into the culture they’ve built,” Jones said. “They lead by example every day in how they practice, how they communicate, and how they compete.”

That leadership is complemented by a talented junior class that includes Kylee Coffey (Jr., G), Luci O’Hara (Jr., G), Blakely Ball (Jr., G), Ragan Hulen (Jr., F), and Campbell Garbarino (Jr., G)—a versatile group that provides scoring, defense, and depth across multiple positions.

Sophomores Presley DeLeon (So., F) and Olivia Williamson (So., G) bring balance and energy to the rotation, while freshman Addisyn Gordon (Fr., G) represents the future of the program with her potential and poise beyond her years.

Jones believes the combination of veteran leadership and emerging youth gives her team a strong foundation for success. “We have high hopes in continuing to build off of years past,” she said. “I am extremely excited to coach this group—they’re athletic, they’re competitive, and they’re committed to doing things the right way.”

With a clear focus on defense, effort, and team chemistry, the Elkettes are poised to make another strong run this season.
