Elk City Cross Country
A two-sport athlete at Elk City High School, Lake Hargrove is a member of the varsity cross country team and the varsity wrestling team. Hargrove said he loves being around his cross-country family, but his favorite sport is wrestling.
“I love being around all my friends and the cross-country community. My favorite sport is wrestling. I also do track and field,” said Hargrove.
The senior said cross-country, and wrestling are not the only activities he’s involved in at school.
“I’m a big part of the e-sports team as well,” said Hargrove.
Hargrove said his coaches have been a big influence in his life.
“There’s a lot of great coaches at Elk City High School. My coaches are the biggest influences in my life,” said Hargrove.
In the classroom, Hargrove said his favorite subject is history and his favorite teacher is coach Murry.
As for the cross-country team, Hargrove said everyone should look out for teammate Jack Morgan who is having an outstanding season.
Hargrove said he wants the Class of 2024 to be remembered for having a hard-working mentality.
