Momentum continues to build around the Elk City Elks fastpitch softball program as they enter the new season following an impressive 31-4 campaign. With head coach Kaleb Murray entering his 11th year at the helm, the Elks have established themselves as a consistent contender, and expectations remain high as they look to make another deep postseason run. A strong returning core combined with emerging talent has the program positioned to once again compete at a high level.

Elk City’s lineup will be anchored by dynamic playmakers who bring both production and experience. Blakely Ball sets the tone at the top of the order, providing a spark with her consistency and speed. A left-handed hitter who has eclipsed the .400 mark every season, Ball is a constant threat on the bases after swiping 40 bags a year ago. Her move to center field adds another layer to her impact, where her athleticism is expected to make her one of the top defensive outfielders in the state.

In the middle infield, Josie McConnell provides stability and power. A relentless competitor with a strong work ethic, McConnell continues to elevate her game and serves as a key presence at shortstop. Offensively, she brings power to the heart of the lineup, giving the Elks a reliable run producer in crucial situations.

Lynlee Pogue adds versatility and explosiveness to the roster. As both an outfielder and pitcher, she offers flexibility while contributing at a high level offensively. After hitting .400 as a freshman and striking out just seven times all season, Pogue has proven to be a difficult out. Her ability to hit for power, execute the short game, and utilize her speed on the bases makes her a major factor in Elk City’s offensive approach.
